Leanne Wyvill

I help business people achieve what they want from their communication with the people who matter to them. That means improving their communication capability so they can make their company and ideas stand out. I run workshops on business writing, presenting/pitching, and team dynamics to empower individual and group communication. I also coach one-to-one to build communication confidence.

Presence Communications

I’m an experienced corporate communications professional who helps people in business communicate with confidence.

I’ve worked for iconic Queensland health and education services, in the public and private sectors, as well as with numerous start-ups, small businesses and not-for-profits.

Now I focus on sharing my skills and wisdom as a corporate communications trainer, coach and True Colors facilitator.

Clients like how I become familiar with their needs quickly and provide sound advice, especially for boards and senior executives.

Connecting the resources of industry with brilliant minds in the Australian research community, to generate commercial, social, humanitarian and sustainability benefits, gives me particular satisfaction.

I’ve been a faculty member at QUT and Griffith Universities, guiding undergraduate students in their development of highly sought-after graduate attributes. I’ve also run ‘boot camps’ and ideas competitions for postgraduate students and postdoctoral academics at The University of Queensland and five other Australian universities, to help them engage effectively with internal and external audiences.

My own academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of NSW and a Graduate Diploma in Communication Practice (with Distinction) from QUT. I also have a Teachers’ Diploma (Speech and Drama) from Trinity College of Music, London, and I’m slowly completing a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

I’m an active member of the Ipswich and Queensland innovation ecosystems, sharing my communication, training, and facilitation expertise with Innovate Queensland, Firestation 101 and emerging regional start-up and innovation hubs.

When I’m not equipping new graduates and seasoned staff with essential workplace communication skills, I’m my teenage daughter’ chauffeur, the timekeeper at my husband’s karate tournaments, and a fan of Liane Moriarty, Kate Morton and Markus Zusak novels.
