Gabe Sulkes – Landing Pad Manager, San Francisco, Austrade
Gabe Sulkes serves as the San Francisco Landing Pad Coordinator for the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade). Prior to joining Austrade, Gabe was an Assistant Director at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business where he managed entrepreneurship and investment-side offerings including the university’s startup accelerator program and alumni founders fellowship.
During his time at Booth, Gabe supported the nation’s #1 university accelerator, the New Venture Challenge, which has produced a $4 billion+ alumni portfolio including companies like Braintree, Bump Technologies, and GrubHub (NYSE: GRUB). Prior to Booth, Gabe managed sustainable transportation initiatives for the Illinois Department of Transportation and led efforts to create the state’s first Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan. Gabe earned a Bachelors in Industrial and Labour Relations from Cornell University.
