AI and Smart Cities

October 18, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

What is Artificial Intelligence? How are we using it even now, and what does it mean for us in the future? More importantly, how can we take advantage of it to improve our businesses and communities?

Join us as we chat with Natalie Renz, an expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Natalie will share about how AI is applied in practical ways. The conversation is particularly relevant for Ipswich’s award-winning Smart City program.

Also come to hear how you can take advantage of AI in the upcoming Queensland Urban Utilities WaterHack challenge, where a unique “Predictive Prize” will be offered for the team who makes the best use of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Bio: Natalie is the Artificial Intelligence Specialist for the Office of the Queensland Chief Entrepreneur and co-founder of Brisbane.AI, a meetup group for AI enthusiasts. She has also recently completed a PhD in Neuroscience. In her current role, she works on developing strategies to advance Queensland as a leading region in AI and emerging technology. She is passionate about democratising technology so that society as a whole can contribute to building the future.
